Tilt & turn windows

Tilt and turn windows are fast becoming a favourite among our customers. There are two ways to open this window, opening inward 180° like a casement window and then tilted, hinged at the bottom. This is our best performing window thanks to the superior seal which, when closed provides sheleter from the elements and noise reduction.

Casement windows

Casement windows are hinged to the side and can open either in or out depending on how you want to use the window. An outward opening casement is a great option for a servery window, connecting the kitchen to the alfresco.

Awning windows

Awning windows open outwards from the bottom which means they don’t intrude into the home and are great for tight spaces. Operation is easy with the push out handle that can be locked once the window is shut. They feature a double rubber, airtight seal for excellent thermal and sound insulation. The multi-point locking system makes this window highly secure when closed.

Sliding windows

Sliding windows have been used in Australian homes for decades because of their space saving features. They allow a portion of the windows to be opened without intruding inside or outside. Sliding windows are easy to operate, simply slide to either the left or right to your desired opening.

Fixed windows are a great cost-saving option and are perfect to maximise a view or as a highlight window. As they can’t be opened they allow for more glass and less frame to bring in plenty of natural light.

Low-E glass

Low-E glass stands for Low Emissivity Glass and works similar to insulation inside your home. Low-E glass in double glazing has a thin coating on the inside of the external pane. It essentially allows your house to be cool in summer and warm in winter without tinting the windows. In summer, a portion of the heat that passes through the window is absorbed and reflected outside. In winter, it will create a barrier for the heat trying to escape through the window and reflect it back indoors.

Application

Low-E Glass comes as a standard in all of ARCO's windows and doors. This type of glass is offered as an optional extra by our competitors.

Advantages

Reduces energy bills and costs. Provides comfort all year long regardless of the temperature. Greatly decreases the amount of UV rays entering the home.
