Our double glazing profiles keep their colour even under exposure to extreme temperature, weathering or UV exposure, making them ideal for the Australian climate.
Our frames offer the best value and greater benefits over the traditional timber and aluminium profiles, including UV protection, thermal and sound insulation, salt-water resistance and low maintenance.
Our profiles are made from recyclable materials. They are lead-free and use environmentally friendly CalciumZinc and are designed with galvanised steel reinforcements for added strength and security.
The frames have built-in water drainage channels that are slot-shaped and a minimum width of 30mm to quickly and effectively drain water even under strong storm

Toughened glass is commonly known as safety glass. Toughened glass is either thermically or chemically treated to increase its strength and to classify it as Grade A Safety glass. It is five times stronger than a standard sheet of float glass of the same thickness. The toughening process reduces the risk of it cracking.
Toughened glass is recommended for large, full length windows or elevated windows that need more strength for safety purposes. Toughened glass is also used for doors and areas of the house prone to injuries such as bathrooms.
The glass will shatter rather than break when broken, reducing the risk of injury
Less weight than laminated glass
Suitable for large window
Important to note that Toughened glass cannot be reused or re-cut once installed, something to consider if you want to have a pet door later.
Laminated glass is also commonly known as safety glass and like toughened glass, is a Grade A Safety Glass. It is two or more sheets of glass bonded together by a vinyl interlayer and when broken, the interlayer prevents the glass from breaking. Some building regulation require laminated glass to be installed rather than toughened.
Laminated glass is recommended for full length windows and doors as it is hard to smash and protects the home against intruders. It is also recommended for those who are especially concerned with.
Holds together when broken by an interlayer, reducing injury
Increased thermal and sound insulation
Cheaper than toughened glass
Multiple panes of glass provide protection again UV rays
Check building regulations you may require laminated glass to be installed into some areas of your home.
Low-E glass stands for Low Emissivity Glass and works similar to insulation inside your home. Low-E glass in double glazing has a thin coating on the inside of the external pane. It essentially allows your house to be cool in summer and warm in winter without tinting the windows. In summer, a portion of the heat that passes through the window is absorbed and reflected outside. In winter, it will create a barrier for the heat trying to escape through the window and reflect it back indoors.
Low-E Glass comes as standard in all of ARCO’s windows and doors. This type of glass is offered as and optional extra by our competitors.
Reduces energy bills and costs
Provides comfort all year long regardless of the temperature
Greatly decreases the amount of UV rays entering the home
Low E glass is worth the price, especially since houses tend to lose 25 percent of their heat through windows. Purchase the highest quality low-E glass you can afford
Toned and privacy glass
Toned and privacy glass is created when additives are added to clear glass during the manufacturing process. Our privacy glass is called white translucent glass and offers maximum privacy to the windows. The toned glass can come in a range of colours such as grey, blue or green and reduces the amount of sunlight entering the home.
Toned glass is recommended for windows that face the sun as it provides solar control. It is not recommended for north facing windows if you want to warm your home in summer. White translucent glass is recommended for front doors and bathroom windows when privacy is key.
